I spent 10 years on the road as a roadie and light technician for my sister Josie Waverly's country band in the 90's where I learned to play bass guitar in motel rooms being taught by her bassist. I am influenced by everything from classic "outlaw" country like Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Wille, to  blues in the likes of Albert Cummings, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Chris Duarte, to rock like Rush, Foghat, Ted Nugent, and Pat Travers, to southern rock in the likes of Allman Bros., Zz Top, Skynard, Blackfoot, and Molly Hatchet. In the late 90's I started my first band "Chamber Street Blues Band". A year later I  started a little more serious band called "Ezra and the Fatt Daddy's" playing the local scene heavily for quite a while. With me having the desire to front the band and take on lead vocals,  Ezra (lead guitarist at the time) and I decided to go another direction
which is when we met up with Scott in 2001 and began "Outwater".  Music directions changed and  .  so did band members eventually leading to "Pyle's Gun" where we did some more modern rock with me just fronting the band on lead vocals. With a strong desire to get back to our musical roots, along with my desire to be back on bass guitar and vocals,  and to have a 2 guitar band again Scott and I started "Dr. Moxy".

I started playing bluegrass with my parents at age 8. The guitar neck was too big for my hands so I started to learn the mandolin which lead to the fiddle and 5 string banjo. I started getting interested in rock music around 15 Trying to adopt the skills of Alex Lifeson, Richie Blackmore, Johnny Winter and the like. In 1988 I played for Kid Kurry on bluegrass back up instrument’s and then lead guitar in Aftershock  in 1992. I met Kevin around 2001. Since then, Me and Kev have been Outwater, Pyles Gun, On The Rocks and finally Dr Moxy.  I have never been more comfortable and at home in any band.

I Started playing drums in marching band 4th grade. (Little americans)
Musical instruments played, trumpet, guitar and drums.

type of music played, Blues, southern rock and classic rock.
